All hell is breaking loose in Burma / Myanmar right now. The military junta have been killing protesting monks and citizens for the past week, just as they did 19 years ago. This hits very close to home for several obvious reasons. What’s more, our good friend Monica, came back from Burma last year after having lived there for two years. She just sent me a link to a petition that will be delivered to UN Security Council members and international media all week long. Take a few moments to read about the situation and do the right thing, Mookie, sign the petition.

Free Burma!
International Bloggers’ Day for Burma on the 4th of October
International bloggers are preparing an action to support the peaceful revolution in Burma. We want to set a sign for freedom and show our sympathy for these people who are fighting their cruel regime without weapons. These Bloggers are planning to refrain from posting to their blogs on October 4 and just put up one Banner then, underlined with the words „Free Burma!“.
