Surfer Jack Shimko has cancer. He’s attempting to paddle 150 miles from Santa Barbara through the Channel islands to Newport Beach. In the process he’s trying to raise awareness and money while starting a new non-profit that provides a platform for athletes to help raise money for cancer research. Think about contributing
John Divola took the Vandalism Series of photographs in abandoned houses over ’74-’75. The paint marks are part of Divola’s process, he has a specific idea each time he sets up the camera, makes the paint marks accordingly and shoots. Interview w/ Divola. (via Today & Tomorrow)
